The continued broadband expansion in the Middle East and Africa – subscriber figures are up by nine per cent in the last quarter alone to over SEVEN million – is helping to attract record levels of interest in the region’s first ever major IPTV event, the IPTV World Forum Middle East and Africa - http://www.iptv-mea.com/.
The show is being held at the Jumeirah Beach Hotel in Dubai and will run from 5th to 6th November 2006. Anevia , the IPTV technology provider and Siemens Business Services today announced the deployment of their solutions in BBC head offices in United Kingdom.
Siemens chose Anevia's innovative technology for the introduction of an IPTV service for the BBC. The service offers BBC staff contact with BBC and other channels output at their desktop and through IP set-top boxes. Uses include the distribution of Arabic TV channels for the new World Service Arabic News channel launching later this year.
