Benjamin Schwarz, WITBE.net, Former Int'l IPTV Deployment Manager, Orange France Telecom PDF Print E-mail

benjamin-schwarz_france-tel.jpgBenjamin Schwarz is a passionate senior executive with 18 years of international experience in consulting and Telco organisations where his innovation and technology leadership help secure positions in emerging markets.

He has proven himself an innovative and hands-on manager in internet start-ups. Benjamin has extensive experience in web portals, search engines, music distribution, TV and video services, areas of expertise which all converge.

Benjamin joined France Telecom in 2001 where he currently runs international TVoDSL deployments. Before that he was technical lead the first group-wide music distribution platform and prior to that, he managed R&D projects in the information access space.

In 2000 Benjamin was CTO of a digital sheet music internet start-up that grew to 200 employees (NASDAQ MMUS). He headed the development of an eCommerce site including a complete DRM. He helped steer the company in complex M&A situations.

In 1998 Benjamin founded Intoo, to deliver personalisation solutions within Unilog a 5000 person services company in Paris. Previously at Unilog, where he remained 10 years, Ben headed a think tank where he launched the first KM & VOIP projects. From 1990 to 1995 Mr Schwarz moved from programmer to senior consultant.

Benjamin regularly speaks at innovation and agile methods workshops & seminars.

Benjamin has a BA from King’s College London in Computer science and recently completed the CEDEP course within INSEAD.

Benjamin lives near Paris with his wife and 3 children. He plays the flute & recorders and enjoys science fiction and scuba diving.
