 Dr. Taşkın is the Program Leader of Turk Telekom’s IPTV Project, working within the Strategy and Business Development Deparment of Turk Telekom. IPTV is a high profile project within Turk Telekom, currently in the business and technical development phase with a target launch date during 2008. His role is to co-ordinate the various streams of of the project, including the consumer proposition, content, regulation, marketing and technology. He has been working on IPTV for 2 years.
Dr Taskin has a great deal of experience working within the Informatics and Telecommunication sector since the establishment of the first Internet connection of Turkey in 1993. He is a regular contributor to Telecom World Magazine, writing Informatics related articles every month.
Prior to his role as the IPTV Program Leader, Dr Taskin worked as a Project Manager on a variety of projects within Turk Telekom’s Informatics. Examples include planning of Türk Telekom internet network, planning and operating leased line networks, planning and operating metro ethernet networks, and operating the video conference systems.
Dr. Taşkın is a member of The International Academy, Research, and Industry Association (IARIA) and he is Vice Chair of the Digital Telecommunication Workgroup.
Dr. Cebrail Taskin received the Doctoral Degree in Electronic Engineering in 2006 at the University of Sakarya, Turkey. Prior to joining Turk Telekom, he worked at Sakarya Universty as a manager of IT Systems.
